Since the development of the first Global Thinking strategy (known as ‘Enabling Effective Support’) in 2003, we have worked with over 5,000 teachers and educationalists across the East of England.
"Global Thinking is keeping the global dimension in education on the radar by developing closer relationships between local authorities, development education centres and universities."
Andrew Scott (Equalities Manager; Directorate for Schools, Children and Families, Essex Local Authority)
"It has been great to meet up with teachers who share similar values about the importance of teaching children to be world citizens with responsibility and empathy towards others. Being a part of this support network has raised the profile of the global dimension in my school."
Primary School Teacher (Essex)
"The Global Thinking network has been absolutely instrumental in embedding the global dimension within ITT programmes at the University of East Anglia. Without their support, ideas, contacts, resources and enthusiasm, we would be so much less effective in addressing these vital issues. A fantastic network."
Nick Gee (PGCE Curriculum Tutor, University of East Anglia)
"Global Thinking activities are based upon an extremely supportive and positive ethos devoted to sharing and making connections between people and communities."
Manjinder Jagdev (PGCE Curriculum Tutor, University of East Anglia)

"Global Thinking has provided support which has been inspiring, but also realistic and encouraging. When I have so many other claims on the ITE curriculum it has been invaluable to have local people that I can meet face to face who have developed a good knowledge of my own institutional setting and who can go on applying the necessary pressure and encouragement in a direct and personal way."
Dr Peter Cunningham (Senior ITE Tutor, University of Cambridge)
